The Publications
Mobile Production Monthly is a great way to get your company's brand in front of all the people who work in the concert and touring industry. Tour Guide has doubled the number of printed copies of Tour Guide Journal (the former name of this publication) to reach 10,000 as of January 2007.
Complete issues of Mobile Production Monthly and the discontinued Tour Guide Journal are available here as individual PDF downloads. Also, subscription requests for hard copies of Mobile Production Monthly or any of our yearly directories may be made here.
In addition, there are three annual directories published.
Our Road Book covers all aspects of the North American touring business, and is carried by most of the top names in concert production. The Venue Book is a must-have for anyone who manages a venue, performs at a venue, or calls venues managers to book shows. The International Book is just like the Road Book and the Venue Book combined, but deals with all the companies outside of North America who put the show on the road and keep it there.

Upload A File
Need to send us an artwork file? For file sizes under 25MB, use this handy tool!
If your file is larger than 25MB, you can upload your file to our server using FTP (File Transfer Protocol). You may use the web form below to upload larger files. Just call us at (615) 256-7006 and ask for our graphics department to get the FTP password you'll need. Alternatively, you may use your own FTP software. If you will be using your own FTP software, you'll also need the server name and user name. Again, just call and ask for our graphics department if you need FTP information and/or help.
Important: Using this interface to upload large files can take a long time. After the process has finished, you will see a success message below the form if everything went well.
Rules For File Uploads
We accept all kinds of files from our clients, but we can't work miracles with poor quality artwork. Make sure your file is on the Approved File Format List:
- Adobe Illustrator (.eps or .ai or .pdf)
- Adobe Photoshop (.psd or .eps or .pdf)
- TIFF images (.tif at 300dpi)
- JPEG images (.jpg at 300dpi)
- PDF (Portable Document Format) (.pdf at 300dpi).
It's your responsibility to submit artwork that's the right size for the ad you're placing. Oftentimes the graphics department is able to make an ad smaller, but we can't turn 1/4 page artwork into a full page glossy ad. Do your homework before you submit.
Give your file a meaningful name. When there are 10 files on the server that are all named "tourguide_ad.eps", its impossible to figure out which one is yours. Use filenames like "AudioAnalysts_sixthpage.psd", or "Hilton_halfpage.tif", and we'll know what to do with your artwork.
Don't use special characters in the filename. Parenthesis, commas, hyphens, or other characters like / ~ \ ` | , ( ) WILL CAUSE A FAILED TRANSFER.
Limit your filename to 20 characters or less, if possible. We know our servers can handle it, but there are many computer systems out there that can't. Let's all stick with some kind of a naming-length standard when transferring files back and forth. Those of you who've been computing for a while will know what we mean.
If you have any questions or problems, you may call our graphics department at 615.256.7006 xt25, or send an email to graphics.
